Abstract: 

After the United States Treasury Department and Federal Reserve Bank of New York barred 14 Iraqi banks from conducting dollar transactions, Iraq has taken enforcement action against currency traders and increasing air and land border checks to prevent U.S. dollars from use by Iranians.
