Abstract:
As a result of a recent case in which Dancre Corp's was allowed a deduction against taxes of approximately $730,000 as a result of bribes it paid in Saudi Arabia, bribes made outside Denmark are apparently permitted and even deductible.  The contrasting laws between governments such as the U.S., which despite amendments to the Foreign Corrupt Practices Act, continues to pioneer its moralistic "save the world" attitude, and countries taking a more liberal approach such as Denmark and France demonstrate the fragile integrity of the international legal order, particularly in the area of international business crimes.
