Abstract:
The National Institute of Justice, U.S. Department of Justice (DOJ) has published A Guide to Interpol, The International Criminal Police Organization in the United State (22 pp.1985) by Michael J. Fooner. The biggest asset of the book is that it effectively uses examples of cases to demonstrate to local police officials in the United States that there is a mechanism to track fugitives and solve cases, and it serves as a useful primer and enables local police officials to gain an understanding of Interpol. The paper is extremely useful in filling the void of lack of information in the U.S. law enforcement community.
