The six-volume work is a new edition of a prior two-volume work. The prior work was authored by Bruno Ristau, a partner in Ristau and Abbell and former director, Official of International Affairs, Criminal Division, U.S. Department of Justice, and focused on the civil litigation aspects while the new edition has a second author, Michael Abbell, a partner in the firm of Ristau and Abbell and former director, Official of International Affairs, Criminal Division, U.S. Department of Justic, and contains six columes, including updated aspects of the first two volumes and four new volumes on international criminal law. This review concentrates on the four volumes authored.
