U.S. Court of Appeals Overturns Trial Court Acquittal Decision on Commercial Bribery Abroad

On July 2, 2025, the United States (U.S.) Court of Appeals for the Second Circuit reversed a judgment of acquittal entered by the district court in the case of U.S. v. Hernán Lopez, Full Play Group, S.A., 143 F.4th 99. The defendant has indicated that it will file a petition to the U.S. Supreme Court for certiorari.
