On September 10, the Organization of Economic Cooperation and Development (OECD) issued two recommendations aimed at strengthening cooperation among governments against tax evasion and tax avoidance. The two recommendations cover a “standard magnetic format for automatic exchange on tax information” and a “model agreement for the undertaking of simultaneous tax examinations.” Meanwhile this summer Denmark deposited its instruments of ratification to the Council of Europe/OECD Convention on Mutual Assistance in Tax Matters, making its taking effect quite imminent…[more]
