Abstract:

At its 22^nd sitting held on October 11, 2023, the Parliamentary Assembly of the Council of Europe (PACE) adopted a resolution and recommendation on the use of Pegasus and similar spyware for targeted surveillance by some states of their citizens. The debate as well as the resolution and recommendation were based on a Report prepared by the Committee on Legal Affairs and Human Rights.
