Abstract: 
The US recently has pursued a number of anti-human trafficking mandates. In addition to programs that encourage countries to address their human trafficking problems (i.e., the improved Trafficking in Persons [TIP] Report), the US is also seeking to reduce its own complicity in international human trafficking, specifically in the area of US service members stationed abroad. Officials at the Defense Department have drafted an amendment that would make it possible to court martial a serviceman for seeking the services of a prostitute.
