Abstract:
On October 8, 1985, it was reported that authorities in the Bahamas arrested F. Nigel Bowe, and seven other fugitives in narcotics operations resulting from a two-month project that involved high-level diplomatic contacts between the U.S. and the Bahamas. F. Nigel Bowe, a locally prominent lawyer with excellent political connections, was indicted five months ago in Miami on charges of conspiracy to import and distribute cocaine. Mr. Bowe has been the subject of investigative news articles by the Miami Herald in September, 1984, on narcotics problems in the Bahamas.
