U.S. Tries Extraordinary Rendition in Libya and Somalia with Mixed Results

On October 5, 2013, the U.S. special forces launched two extraordinary rendition efforts in Libya and Somalia.  In Libya, U.S. commandos seized Abu Anas al-Libi, an accused operative for al-Qaeda, and brought him to a Navy ship for interrogation.[1]
