Abstract:
Anyone who has bought a can of tuna in recent years has undoubtedly noticed a small addition to the normal labeling. Most cans now bear a picture of a dolphin encased in an oval seal with the words “dolphin safe” embossed nearby. Increased awareness led by conservation groups that certain forms of fishing were endangering the stocks of dolphins has resulted in greater public scrutiny of the labeling of tuna cans.
