Abstract:
On November 21-24, Prime Minister Vladimir Putin and the Government of the Russian Federation hosted the International Forum for Tiger Conservation in St. Petersburg during the Year of the Tiger on the Chinese calendar. The Summit attracted senior officials from nations that boast natural tiger ranges and the heads of several international groups, including World Bank President, Robert Zoellick.  The summit discussed and endorsed a plan to double the number of tigers in the wild by 2022, the next Year of the Tiger.
