On June 20, 2005, The Mexican Attorney General and agents of the Federal Agency of Investigation (AFI) detained two leaders of an organization smuggling Cubans into the United States through Cancun. AFI officials arrested Eduardo Fern?ndez Santos and Jorge Hill Reynoso, on the boat Paradise. The persons detained are among thousands of undocumented Cubans brought to Mexico in seven years of operations in the state of Quintana Roo.
