1. Action Against Greece and Bulgaria In its annual filing to the U.S. Trade Representative’s office, a coalition of copyright-dependent industries demanded trade action against Greece and Bulgaria for alleged tolerance of copyright piracy and identified a total of fifty-five countries where piracy cost U.S. companies $10.8 billion in 1997.
