Abstract:
On July 6, 2007, a divided U.S. Court of Appeals for the Sixth Circuit overruled a decision of the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Michigan and dismissed a suit brought by several non-governmental organizations challenging warrantless wiretaps. The panel based the dismissal on the plaintiffs’ lack of standing.1
