Abstract: 
On September 14, 2000, Joel I. Klein, Assistant Attorney General, Antitrust Division, U.S. Department of Justice, called for initiatives and a new forum to strengthen antitrust enforcement cooperation. Speaking at the EC Merger Control 10th Anniversary Conference in Brussels, Belgium, Mr. Klein explained that the rate of economic internationalization will increase in the future dramatically – beyond the expectations, predictions and comfort level of persons.
