Switzerland – Swiss Subsidiary Fined for Inadequate Compliance Measures in Major Bribery Case

On 22 November 2011 the Office of the Attorney General of Switzerland (the “OAG”) issued a summary punishment order against Alstom Network Schweiz AG (“Alstom” or the “Company”) for not having taken all necessary and adequate compliance measures to prevent bribery of foreign officials in Latvia, Tunisia and Malaysia.[1]
