Abstract:
On June 14, 1988, the Senate Foreign Relations Committee held additional hearings on several policy issues. The focus of the hearings concerned the right of criminal defendants to use the Mutual Legal Assistance Treaty (MLAT) to gather and introduce evidence in criminal trials.
