Following the publication of the modified version of the proposed framework decision by the Council of the European Union in May 2008, at the 2908th meeting of the Council of the European Union held on November 27 and 28, 2008, the Council adopted Framework Decision on the recognition and supervision of suspended sentences, alternative sanctions, and conditional sentences.
