Abstract:
On June 2, 2014, the U.S. Department of Justice (DOJ) announced a multinational initiative to disrupt the Gameover ZeusBotnet, a global network of infected victim computers cyber criminals employed to steal millions of dollars from businesses and consumers. Simultaneously, DOJ officials announced the unsealing of criminal charges in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, and Omaha, Nebraska, against Evgeniy Mikhailovich Bogachev, 30, of Anapa, Russian Federation and an administrator of the botnet.[1]
