Abstract:
In a press release of November 17, 1986, the U.S. Department of Justice announced that it has successfully obtained funds from a foreign bank in Switzerland to satisfy tax liabilities of a taxpayer. The U.S. Government had made a $4 million tax assessment as part of a settlement of a case brought by the Department of Justice in September in the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of Florida.
