Abstract:
During a meeting on May 15, 1987, of the Section of Taxation, Committee on Foreign Activities of U.S. Taxpayers, during a question and answer period following a presentation by Bill Roth, Office of Compliance, a question was asked about the policy of the IRS for persons qualifying for amnesty under the Immigration Reform and Control Act of 1986. Kevin Dolan, Associate Chief Counsel (International), IRS, who was in the audience, stated that there would be no amnesty.
