European Court of Human Rights Makes Its Judgement Against Poland Final in the Case of CIA Rendition and Use of Torture

On February 16, 2015, the European Court of Human Rights Grand Chamber panel of five judges decided to refer two cases and to reject requests to refer 19 other cases – including the judgment of July 24, 2014, in the case Al Nashiri v. Poland (application no. 28761/11) and Husayn (Abu Zubaydah) v. Poland (application no. 7511/13)[2] and the judgment in the case Trabelsi v. Belgium.[3] In this way the judgments delivered in the latter group of cases have become final.[4]
