European Community Adopts Regulations on Exporting Precursors

In a significant and historical development in the field of regional measures regulating the export of chemical weapons, on February 20, the European Economic Community's Council of Foreign Ministers adopted a binding regulation on the export of eight so-called precursor substances that can be used in the manufacture of chemical weapons.
