Eurojust Issues Rules of Procedure on the Processing and Protection of Personal Data

On March 19, 2005, Eurojust issued rules of procedure on the processing and protection of personal data that try to balance the need for judicial assistance in serious crime investigations, emergency and other situations involving potential serious crime with the need to protect privacy.
