Abstract: 
Several developments to ratify multilateral conventions and prosecute transnational bribery cases indicate steady progress on transnational corruption continues. Already 20 countries have ratified the December 1997 Organization for Economic Cooperation and Development (OECD) Convention on Combating Bribery in International Business Transactions. The deposit by the Swiss of its instrument of ratification is expected shortly, which will bring the number to 21. Denmark and French are expected to ratify soon. Although Argentina has not ratified the Convention yet, it enacted a transnational bribery law at the end of last year.
