Abstract:
The Belize Foreign Minister, Mr. Dean Barrow, in October made his debut at the United Nations in New York with an address covering, among other topics, the Belize policies and views of combatting narcotics trafficking. Mr. Barrow stated that his Government "absolutely condemns" the production and trafficking of drugs. During the past five years, Belize, according to Minister Barrow, spurred by the continually expanding market of the United States, has become a large scale producer and trafficker of marijuana.
