In a December 14 letter signed by thirty-five of their colleagues, Reps. Don Pease (D-Ohio) and Terry Bruce (D-Ill) urged President Bush to include in the free trade negotiations with Mexico the need for closer cooperation between the governments and court systems of both countries to bring drug smugglers to justice.
