Abstract:
In a Resolution dated February 26, 1985, by the General Assembly (G.A.) on "International campagin against traffic in narcotics drugs" the Economic and Social Council (ECOSOC) has been requested to ask the Commission on Narcotics Drugs to initiate the preparation of a draft convention against illicit traffic in narcotic drugs which will consider the various aspects of the problem as a whole and particularly those not envisaged in existing international instruments.  In the Annex to the Resolution the eradication of trafficking in narcotic drugs is made the collective responsibility of all States, particularly those affected by the problem relating to illicit production, trafficking, or abuse.
